Lisa Hoekstra
About the Artist
As a second generation artist Lisa has been immersed in art all her life, but got serious about painting in 2019. She works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and texture mediums. Her goal is to capture the essence of nature from whimsical to realistic; sharing the beauty that God has created. Exploring new techniques is what keeps the creativity flowing so her style is tweaked constantly. Currently she is in an Abstract Realism phase. The majority of the work contains animals or birds, but she has ventured out into portraits.
Past and present associations include president of Watercolorists of Wilco, Special events board member of Creative Arts Society, Curator for RRA Tx State, membership in WCAG, PaintersATX, and Waterloo Watercolor Group.
