Eileen Pestorius
About the artist
I seek a loose style and exciting color, with some departures from reality. I like a painting, even a quiet one, to show vigor, enthusiasm, and joy of creation. Brushwork and paint underlay and movement excite me. Hand and heart work together: color, line, and value unite, selecting choices from millions of possibilities. I enjoy plein aire painting, especially with friends. It's all a journey and a wonder, but there are times when abstract colors and shapes appeal. Paintings are all for sale.
I grew up the eldest of nine in a three bedroom one bath duplex, and never went anywhere. Since then, I’ve gone everywhere! I’ve met so many friends with a paintbrush in my hand, and I’ve travelled the world.
