About the artist
Art communicates at a different level than words. Art can be more personal and more ambiguous at the same time. I am a painter in various media. I love the challenge of transparent watercolor, the smell and texture of oil paint, the puzzle and solution of mixed media and collage.
My goal is to connect the viewer to whatever has caught my interest. I want to show others what I love about the colors, shapes and lines that make up the people, flowers, trees, bricks, rivers, objects, dogs, cats, raindrops, serious thoughts or poetry.
My style is realistic with just a little leeway for the imagination - both mine and the viewers - to play its part.
