About the artist
After a brief career in the public schools, I pursued my interest in art. Nature has drawn me into its’ fold since the beginning of my artistic expression, over 35 years ago. I see paintings everywhere I look and strive to interpret various subject matter in my own unique way, with watercolor. I look for harmony and rhythm and a sense of balance, which is important to all aspects of life. I hope to bring a smile to the viewer’s face.
During my artistic career I have been represented by several galleries and continue teaching watercolor courses at the Contemporary Austin (formerly Austin Museum of Art, in Texas). After being juried into numerous distinguished exhibitions, I have earned signature memberships in both Texas and Southwestern Watercolor Societies, as well as Western Federation of Watercolor Societies. I am also an active member of Capitol Art Society and Waterloo Watercolor Group, in Austin. My paintings are in public and private collections throughout the country.
