Award winning artist, Jane Flowers, is drawn to the dramatic play between light and shadow on her subjects - and is noted for her rich sumptuous colors and attention to detail. She holds membership in various art associations around the country including Oil Painter's of America and NOAPS - from both of which, she has received honors. She has had workshops and studied with well known artists C.W. Mundy, Camille Przewodek, Kathryn Makes Turner, Cheri Christensen and Baton Rouge artist, Libby Johnson, at Studio de Leoni. Jane strives for artistic characteristics in her work that stops a viewer from walking away - a quality that evokes emotion and touches the viewers mind and heart.
Her work can be found in state, corporate and personal collections around the country. Jane resides in Austin, Texas, with her husband.
